OBJECTIFIED: RESPONSE - Polder Compact Sofa

I created this Polder Compact Sofa by Vitra, designed by Hella Jongerius, because it was the first thing in the documentary that immediately caught my eye, most likely because of the colours. I was also inspired by the modular shape of the couch.

The couch relates to the film in a couple ways. The section after Jongerius speaks has Karim Rashid speaking about how objects can improve our mood simply because of their design, when I saw the Polder Sofa in the documentary, I felt excited and intrigued because of its shape and colours. He also spoke about the idea that designers keep revisiting the original archetype for many household objects over and over again, and I felt like this couch broke that archetype of what most couches look like.

I intended to create more detail with the buttons, as the laces had a more specific shape, but I wasn't able to make it work out with Tinkercad and the the time constraint.

Had a lot of fun making this though!!
