MESH MASHUP: CONCEPT GENERATION + REMIX!

What does remix culture mean to me? When I think of the word “remix” I first think of music, and how some of my favourite songs are actually remixes of their original song. To me then, remixing is about bringing two great things together, to make one great thing. It's like when you can't choose what food to eat, so you just combine two of your favourites into one. OBJECTIFIED: RESPONSE - Polder Compact Sofa

I created this Polder Compact Sofa by Vitra, designed by Hella Jongerius, because it was the first thing in the documentary that immediately caught my eye, most likely because of the colours. He also spoke about the idea that designers keep revisiting the original archetype for many household objects over and over again, and I felt like this couch broke that archetype of what most couches look like.       I intended to create more detail with the buttons, as the laces had a more specific shape, but I wasn't able to make it work out with Tinkercad and the the time constraint.   ...
