For this project, we had to re-create our prototypes from last week but this time incorporate comments from our critique and use the laser printer to cut our templates. My main goal with this project was to make my piece bigger, use more realistic colours, and add way more detail. Here is my original 3D prototype in rhino, and then how I unrolled it and prepared it for the laser printer. Once I had all of my paper cut, (I forgot to take pictures), I started by gluing all the pieces together, and adding smaller details because I knew it would be harder to add them once the main shape of the kiln was made. I made a small bowl to sit on the kiln shelves that I made since I wasn't able to make the peeps on my kiln actually removable, which is something that was mentioned last week in our critique.
